1、 Safety Warning Matters

(1) Before carrying out maintenance work, cut off the power supply! When someone is maintaining the pump, be careful to prevent other operators from turning on the power due to mistakes. In environments with high noise or poor lighting, prominent signs should be placed next to the power switch to inform other personnel. During maintenance, turning on the power switch incorrectly can lead to serious accidents and even casualties. Every relevant personnel should be careful.

(2) When replacing pipeline systems or disassembling or assembling pumps, protective tools such as safety goggles, protective gloves, protective clothing, etc. should be worn.

(3) When lifting the pump, use a chain or strap to pass through the lifting ring and motor to keep the pump and motor level. No one is allowed to stand under the lifted pump.

(4) When transporting the hazardous liquids listed below, the pump must be inspected and managed regularly to prevent liquid leakage. Once leaked, the hazardous liquid (or volatile gas) will cause explosions, fires, or casualties.

2、 Safety precautions

(1) Prohibited from air transportation: Air transportation can cause the impeller shaft to heat up, resulting in dry friction damage to the mechanical seal and pump damage. (Running with the import and export valves closed is also considered as air freight operation).

(2) Preventing static electricity damage: When transporting liquids with low conductivity, such as ultra pure water or fluorine-containing inert liquids, static electricity will be generated in the pump, which can cause discharge and damage to the pump. Measures should be taken to prevent static electricity generation, divert static electricity, or take other measures.

(3) Pump maintenance personnel should have professional knowledge and operational experience.

(4) Centrifugal pumps made of specific materials can only be used for specific working conditions, otherwise, the normal performance and service life of the pump cannot be guaranteed, and accidents may even occur.

(5) Ventilation requirements on site: When transporting media that are prone to volatile toxic gases, safety measures must be taken, such as installing ventilation equipment, to prevent liquid leakage in case of sudden accidents.

(6) Preventing liquid leakage: Preventive measures must be taken for liquid leakage caused by emergencies or pipeline damage to avoid direct liquid flow into the ground.

(7) Select electromagnetic switches based on the specifications of the motor, such as rated voltage and rated power.

(8) If the pump is outdoors, protective measures must be taken for the electrical circuit to prevent water from entering the switch.

(9) Electromagnetic switches and button switches should be installed safely and kept away from the pump.



Product Introduction

1、 Purpose and Characteristics

This product is widely used in industries such as petrochemicals, acid and alkali production, non-ferrous metal smelting, acid washing processes in automobile manufacturing, rare earth separation, pesticides, dyes, pharmaceuticals, papermaking, electroplating, radio, etc. It is suitable for conveying clear liquids or corrosive media containing small amounts of particles (solid content ≤ 5%).

Features: FSB and FSB (D) centrifugal pumps, all flow components are made of fluoroplastic alloy, compact structure, simple operation, and simple price. The two types of pump bodies, impellers, seals, etc. can be interchanged for use. The shaft seal adopts advanced external corrugated tube mechanical seal, the static ring uses 99.9% alumina ceramic, and the dynamic ring uses PTFE filling material (or other materials specially matched according to the user's special working conditions), which is characterized by good corrosion and wear resistance and sealing performance.


2、 Packaging and Inspection

After opening the packaging box and bag, please check the following items:

(1) Whether the products, accessories (including other materials requested by the user) match and are complete with the packing list;

(2) Check the various data on the nameplates of the pump and motor to confirm whether they meet the ordering requirements;

(3) Whether the product is damaged during transportation and whether the connecting bolts are loose.

5、 Scope of use

1. Pressure resistance limit: The pressure resistance limit is 0.6MPa, and it should be noted that the output pressure of the pump cannot exceed the pressure resistance limit.

2. Temperature range for use: -20~100 ℃; Range of environmental temperature variation: 0~40 ℃; Range of environmental humidity variation: 35-85% RH

1、 Installation points

The pump should be installed and fixed on a stable foundation, unaffected by other mechanical vibrations.

The weight of the foundation itself must be more than three times the mechanical weight, and the area must be larger than the base.

Adequate space should be reserved around the pump for maintenance and repair.

Place the pump unit on the foundation, and a cushion should be laid between the base and the foundation.


2、 Pipeline

1. The inlet and outlet pipelines of the pump should have brackets and cannot be supported by the pump. The diameter of the pipeline should be consistent with that of the pump. The pump should be located as close as possible to the water tank.

2. It is necessary to ensure that the installation height of the pump meets the cavitation allowance of the pump, and to consider pipeline losses and medium temperature. To avoid gas cavitation in the pump body, the following equation must be met:

3. The curved part of the pipeline should be as smooth as possible to reduce the use of bends, and avoid setting bends near the pump inlet.

4. Considering the descent of the liquid level, the position of the suction pipe should have sufficient submergence depth. To prevent debris from entering and exiting the pump, a filter should be installed at the inlet with a filtration area greater than 3-4 times the cross-sectional area of the pipeline. And clean the filter regularly.

5. When the pump is used under the working condition of suction, the inlet pipe of the pump must be equipped with a valve, which can be used to adjust the flow rate and make the pump work at the specified flow point to prevent motor overload and pump failure after exceeding the flow rate.

6. Install pipeline compensators at the inlet and outlet of the pump as much as possible to facilitate maintenance.

7. The pipeline must be connected correctly, and the sealing gasket between the flanges must be flat and not misaligned. If the sealing surface leaks, the pump will not function properly and may cause damage to the pump.

Usage and maintenance section

1、 Precautions before use

1. Centrifugal pumps are prohibited from being shipped by air. The minimum flow rate during pump operation is 35% of the design point.

2. If cavitation occurs during pump operation, it must be stopped within 1 minute.

3. The temperature change of the medium should be controlled within 40 ℃, as excessive temperature rise/fall may cause damage to pump components.

4. If there is a sudden power outage while the pump is running, the power must be immediately turned off and the outlet valve must be closed.

5. The noise of the pump is ≤ 95dB. If vibration and noise occur, the machine should be stopped for inspection and troubleshooting before it can work.

6. Choose grease lubricated bearings for the pump, and do not add additional oil to the bearing housing.



2、 Start and Run

Check if the pump is running in the correct direction. When checking the direction of the electric motor, do not connect the coupling first. Confirm that the direction is correct before connecting the coupling, or use jogging to confirm if the direction is consistent with the direction indicated by the steering indicator.

Rotate the coupling by hand, feeling it should be easy and evenly weighted, and pay attention to identifying whether there are friction sounds and foreign object rolling noises inside the pump. If there are, try to eliminate them.

When working in reverse flow condition, open the inlet valve to supply the liquid source. When sucking in the working condition, the pump must be filled with liquid first.

Test run the unit for 5-10 minutes. If there are no abnormal phenomena, it can be put into operation. If there are no abnormal phenomena, it can be put into operation.

Regularly check the temperature rise of the pump and motor. The temperature rise of the bearings should not exceed 40 ℃, and the maximum temperature should not exceed 90 ℃. For insulated motors, the maximum temperature rise at an ambient temperature of 40 ℃ is 90 ℃, and the allowable maximum temperature is 130 ℃.

When the head of the pump device is less than the rated head of the pump, the outlet valve must be closed and the machine must be stopped immediately for inspection. The operation can only continue after the fault is eliminated.

If any abnormal sound or other malfunction is found during operation, the machine should be stopped immediately for inspection, and the operation can only continue after the malfunction is eliminated.

Close the outlet valve first, and then cut off the power supply to the motor.

Keep the outside and environment of the pump clean.

If the ambient temperature is lower than the solidification temperature of the liquid after shutdown, the liquid in the pump should be drained to prevent freezing and cracking.

For pumps that have been out of use for a long time, in addition to draining the corrosive liquid inside the pump, the pump chamber should also be rinsed clean with clean water, especially the sealing components, which should be carefully rinsed clean and the inlet and outlet of the pump should be sealed and properly stored.


3、 Repair and maintenance

1. Regularly inspect the pump and motor, and replace vulnerable parts.

2. When not in use for a long time, the pump should be cleaned and the power should be cut off.

3. Air freight transfer is strictly prohibited. If the pump is outdoors, rainproof measures should be taken to prevent the motor from being damaged by moisture.

4、 Disassembly and assembly

(1) FSB type

1. Close the inlet and outlet valves, loosen the motor anchor bolts, and separate the pump from the pump head (i.e. motor coupling and pump coupling).

2. Loosen the tightening bolt nut on the pump shaft end, tap the nut and tightening bolt with a copper rod to separate the tail cone of the impeller from the cone sleeve on the pump shaft, and separate the impeller, pump cover, mechanical seal, bracket, and bearing box from each other.

3. Loosen the two fastening screws of the mechanical seal dynamic ring to remove it from the impeller shaft, then remove the pump cover. Remove the mechanical seal cover screw on the pump cover to remove the static ring of the mechanical seal from the pump cover.


(2) FSB (D) type

1. Close the inlet and outlet valves, loosen the connecting bolts between the bracket and the pump body, and separate the pump body from the bracket.

2. Loosen the motor foot bolts, remove the motor fan cover, and loosen the tightening bolts and nuts.

3. Use a copper rod to strike the nut and tighten the bolt to separate the tail cone of the impeller from the cone sleeve on the motor shaft.

4. Open the motor, separate the impeller, pump cover, mechanical seal, and bracket.

5. Loosen the two fastening screws of the mechanical seal dynamic ring to remove it from the impeller shaft, then remove the pump cover. Remove the mechanical seal cover screw on the pump cover to remove the static ring of the mechanical seal from the pump cover.
